QROTI Privacy Policy
Proceed Media Pty Ltd maintains this web site as a service to the public and is committed to honouring the privacy of visitors to QROTI.

Any personal information received from visitors to QROTI is used by QROTI, Proceed Media and its contractors to provide services directly tailored to the content of that information. QROTI does not support "spam" (bulk-distributed unsolicited email). Any email you receive from QROTI is because either you emailed us, or you signed up for a QROTI mailing list. If you choose to unsubscribe from a mailing list, we will take all reasonable effort to honour that request.

Your personal information, including mailing list information, is never distributed nor sold to any external companies or organisations unless required by the laws of Australia. If in the future QROTI chooses to allow distribution, it will be on an "opt-in" basis. That is, you will have to explicitly nominate your details as eligible for distribution.

However, any email that is received by QROTI may be forwarded to any person or company outside of QROTI and Proceed Media if deemed necessary and appropriate (e.g. to ascertain accurate information for a reply). QROTI may also publish the contents of email for promotional purposes.

General Information about "Cookies"
To simulate a continuous connection to that site, web sites use cookies. This makes it more convenient for users by allowing them to visit pages within a site without having to reintroduce themselves with each mouse click. Contrary to popular fears and misconceptions, cookies were not created to spy on or otherwise invade the privacy of Internet users. Cookies contain only information that users volunteer, and they do not have the capability of infiltrating a user's hard drive and sneaking away with personal information. The simple function of a cookie is that of helping the user navigate a web site with as little obstruction as possible.

Cookies are small data structures used by a web site (server) to deliver data to a web client (user); request that the client store the information; and in certain circumstances, return the information to the web site. Web sites can thus "remember" information about users to facilitate their preferences for a particular site and allow the use of user passwords. The web site may deliver one or more cookies to the client. The client stores cookie data in one or more flat files on its local hard drive.

An option is for you to set your web browser to warn you before accepting a cookie. Every time there is an incoming cookie, a dialog box will ask if you want to accept it.
