IMU
An abbreviation for Interurban Multiple Unit, a type of suburban train used by QR Citytrain.
These trains are recognised by the "IM" prefix on the carriage numbers (inside beside the doors),
their flat, yellow fronts with a stylized outline of Queensland,
coach-style seating inside with overhead luggage racks and decorative,
etched glass partitions beside the doors in the interior.
IMUs were introduced from 1997 and have been used predominantly on the Gold Coast line.
