The Pinkenba line (portion to Doomben only) runs for 9.9 kilometres (6.2 miles) east-north-east from Brisbane's Central Station.
Passenger services stopped in 1993 and were replaced by buses. Rail services recommenced in January 1998 so far as Doomben, with some bus services remaining from Eagle Junction to Doomben and/or Doomben to Pinkenba.
Normal suburban (rail) services are provided by QR Citytrain, and the average travel time between Doomben and Central is approximately 20 minutes for an all stations service.
