QR Citytrain: Transit Service Officers QR employs Transit Service Officers as part of QR Citytrain's front line passenger services personnel. Their key roles are customer service, safety and security on services and at stations and enforcement of legislation and policies. If you're travelling on QR Citytrain services or are at a station and require assistance just approach one of the friendly Transit Service Officers. In addition to their customer service role these staff also have authority to inspect tickets and concession entitlements, request name, age and address and proof of same and are empowered to issue "on-the-spot" fines for ticket and behavioural offences. They are also empowered to remove persons from the railway under certain circumstances.
